To symbolize their commitment to social justice work, a large group of parishioners came together and participated in a visual brainstorming workshop. A smaller task force of five women took the resulting ideas and created this pulpit hanging representing parishioners’ experience of working with others. As parish children are an integral part of the community’s outreach, the piece is bordered with traced, cut outs of their hands.
